The First International Conference on the Future of Justice: Crime, Constitution, and Technology (KLE-JUSTECH 2027) is a global forum for academics, researchers, judges, legal practitioners, technologists, policymakers, criminal justice professionals, and doctoral scholars to exchange ideas and present original research on constitutional and criminal law questions raised by emerging technologies.[1] The conference examines how artificial intelligence, mass surveillance, facial recognition, predictive policing, digital forensics, deepfakes, algorithmic risk assessment, and automated decision-making are reshaping investigation, evidence, adjudication, and sentencing.[1] It is organised around multiple interdisciplinary tracks on policing and surveillance, privacy as a constitutional guarantee, digital evidence and forensic reliability, algorithmic decision-making in bail and sentencing, cybercrime and criminal liability, constitutional rights and digital expression, institutional and legislative capacity, and data protection and cross-border cooperation.[1] Through paper presentations and academic discussions, the event aims to critically explore how justice systems can safeguard constitutional guarantees in a technologically transformed criminal justice landscape.[1]
